September
Here's some pages from the current sketchbook. I don't do much else because I feel I don't have the skills or right frame of mind for it right now... but hopefully as I get life straightened out I can start doing more things. I always sketchbook though, as it keeps me very good company, and keeps me sane in this very illogical society.
I'm also trying to become a less material person, Story of Stuff is an excellent 20 minute flash movie on the subject. Although I have to say artbooks are a guilty pleasure. You can never have too many artbooks, except when you no longer have space to sleep.

Daaang!! Your sketchbook is freaking awesome. Makes me extremely nostalgic for days when all I did was draw. Now it's all photoshop. The drawing of the kids and the tea-set is my favorite, it transcends style.
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
frank: I will try to believe that.
patrick: that can be my superhero name!
anonymous: Yes, sometimes, I'm in the process of building a little watercolor/gouache tin out of altoid type tins.

Margret, I love all your drawings from the sketch book, any advice to get my daughter to start keeping a sketch book.
Hello Kam! This is teacher Kam, yes?
Well to start keeping a sketchbook, one must just do it and carry it around all the time.
And not feel any pressure to meet any standard - just do it for enjoyment.

Margaret - Thank you for responding back, That's awesome! What kind of pens do you recommend to use? I like the detail in your pen work.
you can NEVER have too many artbooks, they are most prozed possessions!
And definitely listen to Frank, he's right!

Anonymous: Thanks! I use ballpoint pens, I like the SKB pens and also random pens you get from hotels and pharmaceutical industries. I also like the Uniball rolling ink pens. If you can get near one, Kinokuniya the Japanese bookstore has all manners of wonderful pens.
Francis: Yes, they are like crack for artists.
